I am so excited about Drew Walking Tall. I have tons of ideas running through my head faster than I can record them, trying to plan out every little step so nothing fails. I’m lucky to work in the field I do as I have been managed by superiors using fancy Excel project plans and work closely with professional project managers so I have begun to utilize those same skills and tools for managing all of the projects for Drew Walking Tall.
I only look like I know what I’m doing though. I really have no idea what the potential is for raising money. We’ll see what happens. For now, I’m planning on hosting an online and community auction with donated items from businesses and individuals (date TBD), an entertainment event with various games and food-related activities (date TBD), and candy grams. We’ve already initiated donation jars to be distributed in Morganfield and Marion. If you are interested in plastering your area with jars, please see me. I have labels I can provide you. I don’t have jars though…even my own house now has no containers for pencils, candy or other various knickknacks which have all been stuffed into drawers surely to make my life miserable for the next few months.
So far, I have a Facebook page where I will post updates and information about events. You can also check this blog’s own page dedicated to Drew Walking Tall which will also contain a PayPal “Donate” button as soon as I get the doggone thing to work properly (you won’t even need to have a PayPal account, you can pay with your debit or credit card….any amount you like.) Pending a reply from WordPress’ tech support, you will soon be able to donate online.
If you’d like to help out in any way, I’d surely appreciate it. In addition to donations, I can use product donations for my online auction, food donations for an event, laborers to prepare stuff and man stations, etc. You can also help spread the word by sharing the Facebook page and my blog with your family and friends and encourage them to share as well! Thanks so much!
